Vision

Our vision is to create a world where animals do not live in fear of people, where species are no longer endangered, where animals live their lives in full and in freedom, and where our planet Earth can again be a home for all. Our belief is that compassion for all living beings is necessary for our physical and moral survival. And our hope is that we can work respectfully and collaboratively with other groups and individuals committed to nonviolence toward people, toward animals, and for the survival of the planet

Cultivating Grassroots
We support passionate people with great ideas. Grassroots organizations are at the heart of community and our cause. They are the forerunners of innovation. They are the birthplace of new ideas and the origin of change. They allow individuals to get directly involved in the issues that are most important to them and their communities. That is why NEA is committed to making grassroots organizations strong and viable.

NEA helps grassroots animal advocacy organizations become successful as businesses so they can be successful in their missions. NEA helps grassroots organizations get out of reactive mode and make lasting change. We do this through training, support, grants and our website.

Communication is Key
Good communication creates strong organizations, enables them to more effectively carry their messages to the community and builds strong internal relations. A clear message improves marketing, increases contributions, increases community support and helps animal advocates fulfill their missions. NEA is dedicated to inspiring social change by helping animal advocates effectively communicate their message, maintain credibility and establish a strong foundation on which to build the future of the movement. .

Building a Legacy
Donations to our endowed funds are humanely invested. We grant and use only the interest earned. Your original invested donation will remain intact and keep giving year after year.

We are working hard to build our endowed funds so that your investments in the future of animal advocacy keep working – forever. Often nonprofit organizations must put so much effort and resources into fundraising that they don’t have time to dedicate to their missions. We are committed to building our endowed funds so that NEA and the grassroots animal advocacy groups we support can concentrate on the important work ahead.
