Planned Giving and Special Gifts
Through our endowments, your gift will give and live forever.
Your gift will have an enduring effect on the work of countless
grassroots animal advocacy groups around the United States that
are working hard to build a world of compassion - a world where
animals can live free of pain, fear and suffering.
Planned gifts are donations to NEA through estate bequests or other
long-term gifts. There are several ways to give, including making
NEA a beneficiary of a trust, a life insurance policy, a retirement
plan, or a Last Will and Testament.
Life Insurance Policies and Retirement Plans
You can designate NEA as a beneficiary of all or a portion of
the proceeds from your life insurance policy or retirement plan.
Because NEA is a 501(c)(3) charitable, nonprofit organization, these
gifts are generally exempt from federal estate tax and fall outside
of the probate process. Beneficiary designation forms vary, but
please:
- List our full legal name, “National Endowment for the
Animals Inc.” as your beneficiary
- Note our federal tax identification number: 45-0490976
- Note our permanent address: P.O. Box 1161, Boulder, CO, 80306
- List "charity" as your relationship to your beneficiary
Bequests
Bequests from a Last Will and Testament to NEA allow you to choose
National Endowment for the Animals as a beneficiary of a portion
of your estate, your residual estate or specific assets. Please
consult with your attorney or other professional advisor to ensure
that your bequest is in compliance with all state and federal
regulations. Sample language might read, "I give, devise,
and bequeath to National Endowment for the Animals Inc., federal
tax identification number 45-0490976, currently headquartered
in Boulder, Colorado, the sum of $_____________, (or describe
the property or portion of the estate) to be used for its general
purposes."
Please consult with your attorney or other professional advisor
because tax laws may vary in your state or country.
